AdvertisementUsing 2021-2022 admissions data from the Common Data Set — a College Board Initiative — the report found that selective and private colleges were most likely to use legacy preference in their admissions. The University of Nebraska, for example, offers $14,000 a year for legacy students from out-of-state. Another example is Drake University, which offers a $2,500 per year award to legacy students. Business Insider has previously reported on the precedent continued legacy preference is setting for the future of higher education. The competitionTypically, a presidential campaign makes it as easy as possible for the public to learn what the candidate would do if elected. But a curious voter who visited Haley's campaign website would need to navigate through press clips and TV appearances to find one. CNBC reached out to Haley's campaign to ask why they do not have a comprehensive policy agenda on the campaign site. The link revealed something unexpected: The document did not appear under any of the sections into which Haley's campaign site was divided, like "News," or "About Nikki" or "Action Center."

Cassie Schoene was a sophomore in college when she got into Disney's college program. It's a work program that usually lasts four to seven months and can be extended for up to a year. Disney College Program participants, or CPs, must be enrolled in a university or have graduated in the past two years. Sometimes people will leave the Disney College Program if they don't get the role they want. The rest of Florida may be cheaper, but I get to experience Disney World cheaper than the rest of Florida.
